Write a 6 - 8 measure melody and complete the 4 part harmony for the song.
- Choose 2 types of the non-harmonic tones, use them at least twice in the melody and label them.
- Harmonize the song in 4 parts, you may use any inversions you choose.
- End with a cadence and label the cadence

- Add piano and one other instrument.
- On the non-piano instrument write an 8m melody - Start on the tonic, end m4 on the dominant - then end m8 on the tonic with a dominant note on the penultimate beat.
- Harmonize the song in the piano staves.
- Use triads, dominant 7th and notes in the key. You may use Major, Natural or Harmonic Minor keys.
- "Share" the assignment with another student and Mr. White
- Create a New Score

With a partner or two, compose a 16 measure rhythm pattern that can be performed by tapping, stomping, speaking (i.e. beatbox) or other sounds.
- 2 8 measure sections
- No instruments may be used.
- You must write out the rhythm on staff paper and perform for the class.
- Each student must submit a copy of the composition.
- Handwritten, add dynamics, articulations, accents etc.
